You need to schedule a preliminary checkup with your doctor to determine the status of your health. As an adult, get your blood pressure checked every 1 to 2 years, keep updated with vaccinations, and once a month conduct a skin inspection from head to toe for any strange spots or rashes. For those under the age of 35 and healthy, a checkup every 2 to 3 years is fine. Between 35-45 years if you continue to live a healthy lifestyle and have no medical problems, a yearly

medical checkup is not essential. Nevertheless, for those who are above the age of 45, say 50, an annual checkup is recommended.

In addition, adults should get a checkup at least once a year to screen for any health conditions or diseases and to discuss any health concerns that may have arisen in the past year. Adults should get any recommended vaccines and tests at suitable times. Again, the requirements for consistent checkups differ for; prescription drug follow-ups, prenatal checkups and well-woman examinations. If you have any specific health conditions, you should see your doctor more frequently, no matter how old you are. It is also important to be heedful of any disturbing symptoms and contact your doctor if needed.

Regular checkups will detect any medical problem, which can then be treated efficiently. And as you know, early prevention can help overcome even deadly diseases like cancer.
