About this item

Dequadin is used locally for oral antisepsis and to relieve pain and inflammation. The tablet has a mottled orange colour and has a pleasant taste.

Adults and children over 10 years: One lozenge to be sucked every 2 to 3 hours, up to a maximum of eight in one day.

Indications

For mouth and throat infection, such as:

• Oral thrush
• Sore throat
• Tonsilitis
• Stomatitis

Dequadin may also be used for prevention of infection after tooth extraction.

Elderly

There is no need for a dosage reduction in the elderly.

Side effects from Dequadin lozenges are unlikely but may include: 

• Sore tongue
• Allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.
