Ventolin medicine has the main ingredient is Salbutamol, the dosage form is 2 mg/5 ml oral solution.
Salbutamol is a ?-adrenergic receptor stimulant with selective action on receptors on bronchial smooth muscle and with little or no effect on cardiac receptors at therapeutic doses. Because of its selective bronchospasm and no effect on the cardiovascular system, the oral form of Ventolin is suitable for the treatment of bronchospasm in patients with concomitant cardiac disease or hypertension.
Salbutamol is also active in preventing the release of histamine caused by exposure to allergens and those formed in a slow-acting anaphylactic reaction. This can reduce type I hypersensitivity reactions, which are considered the first triggering reactions of the allergic asthma syndrome.
